Razer has introduced probably the best gaming laptop in the market in 2015. It would be great to have a laptop with state of the art technology buried inside it. Razer’s Blade can be compared with Apple’s MacBook Pro as far as the specifications are concerned, however, its definitely not built for somebody who is not a gamer or a video editing engineer.
Razer’s laptop launched in 2015 is the upgraded version of the one launched in 2014. The machine is equipped with highest capacity of laptop peripherals currently available. If you take a look at Razer’s previous machines, it will be noticed that earlier machines were kind of really large in size. Razer’s recently launched laptop is a perfect combination of excellent graphics, processing power and speed.
The 14 inch external body is made of aluminum, with a powerful processor clocked at 2.6 GHz, Core i7-4720HQ CPU along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M graphics with mind-blowing 3GB of GDDRS VRAM. In addition, the machine comes with 16GB RAM, twice the size launched last year. The hard drive is available in SSD with selection of 128, 256 or 512GB. With so many powerful features packed in a single machine, Razer also ensured to provide multi-touch 14 inch screen with the display resolution of extra sharp 3200×1800.
There is not much difference in the looks of latest Razer laptop and the one from last year. The graphics installed in the machine are made for extensive gaming. Along with extra ordinary features discussed so far, the laptop is loaded with three USB 3.0 ports, real decent speakers and HDMI 1.4 out connectivity.
The new Razer runs an updated version of Windows 8.1, however, it is upgradable to Windows 10 at no charge. The best part about the latest machine is, it costs the same, despite the fact that RAM is doubled along with many other features. The 128GB model starts with a price of $2200.
Other upgrades in the new Razer include its CPU. The new chip is a quad code 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, which can further boost up to 3.6 GHz, credit goes to Turbo Boost feature by auto clocking. The last year’s Razer was clocked at 2.2 GHz with boost upto 3.2 GHz quad core chip, however, the best part is its mind blowing RAM set at 16 GB. In addition, other upgrades from last version includes GPU boost as well. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M Graphic Chip is supported by 3GB VRAM, as the GPU chip uses Nvidia’s Maxwell architecture.
